Sesame Seared Tuna on Butternut Puree

This is a delicious and easy recipe for those nights when you need a healthy dish quick, but you still want to impress. Bonus if you can get fish from your local fishermen.

4-6 oz tuna steaks for each person
1 tsp sesame seeds per tuna steak
Sea salt and pepper
1 Tbsp coconut aminos or tamari per tuna steak
1 lime
1 Tbsp coconut oil, butter, duck fat, bacon fat, or ghee
1 butternut squash
1/4 cup coconut milk
2 Tbsp butter, coconut oil, or ghee
1 tsp curry powder
Sea salt and pepper
Peel and chop the butternut squash
Add the squash to a steamer basket over boiling water till soft (10 min)
While steaming the butternut, sprinkle tuna steaks with salt and pepper
Heat up a pan with 1 Tbsp healthy fat to medium heat
Roll the tuna steaks through the sesame seeds
Sear the tuna on one side for 2 minutes and flip over to sear the second side for 2 min
Remove from heat to rest
Remove the butternut and drain the water
Add the butternut, coconut milk, and butter or coconut oil back to the pot
Blend till smooth with an immersion blender or mashing tool
Add curry powder, salt and pepper to taste
Plate the fish on top of a butternut smear and garnish with fresh parsley
